Scholarship Guidelines Scholarship Application

The Timberview Band Parents is a charitable organization and an important part of the band program at Timberview High School.  The Band Parents provide fundraising opportunities and provide many support services for the band.  The success of our band is highly dependent on active band parents with positive attitudes that are dedicated to the directors' mission and goals for the band and each student.  Please join the Timberview Band Parents organization and help support your student's band program.

The Band Parents meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the band hall at Timberview High School, unless otherwise noted on the calendar pages.

All parents of Timberview band students are welcome.

              Message From Band Boosters

Looking for an easy way to earn some extra money? Want to start putting some funds aside for next year's band expenses or even the band trip next school year? A very easy way to do this is by working a few band drives with Music and Arts. The Summit, Timberview and Legacy Band Boosters have teamed up with Music and Arts to supply them with temporary volunteer help with their school location band drives. Remember when your child first started band and you went to the school to rent their instrument in 6th grade? Well, that is what we do basically...a little paperwork, and in return we are paid directly by Music and Arts for the shifts we work. "Volunteers" will be paid $35 for every drive they work, each drive being four hours or less. Usually a location band drive will only last 2-1/2 hours or less (some a little longer with the commute to the location) so the pay rate is good. The band drive locations are generally in the Grand Prairie, Kennedale, Crowley and Mansfield school districts and there is always the option to carpool to these locations with other workers. If you are interested in signing up or in getting more information about this, please email Barbara Griffin at Treasurer@summitband.com. A mandatory training session will be provided for all new workers the week after Spring Break, so sign up today!
