The Timberview Wolf Band Percussion and Colorguard summer camps to get underway tomorrow, July 21st from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, through Friday, July 25th.
We are sad to announce that Mr. Shawn & Mrs. Erica Wellman have resigned as Percussion Specialist so they can move to Asheville, North Carolina, to help take care of aging parents and family needs. The Wellman’s have put together a great staff for camp this year, and they finished writing the percussion show for the upcoming season, so everything is coming together nicely thanks to their efforts. A lot of effort is being put in to find a full-time Percussion Director before school starts. We all are thankful to the Wellman’s for their efforts and leadership of the Timberview Percussion Group the past two years. THS Percussion has risen to new heights during the Wellman’s time here including Drumline Championships at the North Texas Drumline Contest at McKinney North last year and the Wolf Drumline has reigned as Champions of the Lewisville Drumline Invitational for the past two years. We thank the Wellman’s for all you have done to help make the Wolf Band and Percussion Group Great!! You will be missed and we wish you the best in your new endeavors and move to NC!!
Mr. DJ Stucky and Mr. Levi Nichols will be teaching the percussion camp. Mr. Stucky has a music education degree from the University of North Texas. He has been a member of the famous UNT drumline as well as the WGI champion Surround Sound drumline. He has taught several successful groups in the area including the WGI finalists VIP and Surround Sound. Mr. Nichols currently about to complete his studies as a music education major at Texas A&M Commerce. He has been a member of the Phantom Regiment drum and bugle corps and has taught at several schools across the metroplex.
On the Timberview Colorguard side of things, we are happy to announce that Mr. William Agustin has been hired as the Wolves Colorguard Director and he will be on duty for the beginning of Colorguard Camp in the morning!
