It will be a very busy week for the Timberview Wolf Marching Band with a stadium rehearsal, football game and our first marching contest of the season. Here is a brief overview of this weeks activities.
Monday, September 22nd, is our first Stadium Rehearsal from 5-7:30 p.m. Tomorrow is a very different schedule with students finally getting to go home right after school. We are allowed 4 of these in a season and this is when we can finally get up high to a judge’s perspective, balance sounds, and really get an eye on the drill. It is imperative that every student be at this rehearsal by arriving at the stadium at 5:00 p.m.
Students are encouraged to car pool as many parents may not be off of work in time to drive your own student. Please have a plan! There will be 150 Band students going to this rehearsal, so find a ride with one of them. Any student not present, will not be allowed to participate on Saturday at our first contest. We will have props to move and a truck to unload. Please wear your show shirt and marching shoes for cleaning drill purposes. Students will need to bring your instrument to rehearsal, so remember to take it with you after school. Tubas, we will take care of those for you.
Any students that drive and can stay after school, please stay over and help us load the band trailer. Parents and families are invited to watch the run through at 7:20 p.m. or so. Newsom Stadium is located at 3700 East Broad Street in Mansfield.
We will return to regular after school band rehearsal will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday & Thursday and from 3:30 to 5:30 pm on Wednesday.
Friday, September 26th at 7:30 p.m. the Timberview Wolves will take on the Lancaster High Tigers at R.L. Anderson Stadium, 1015 East Broad Street. Timberview seating is on the west side grandstands at R.L. Anderson.
