Timberview Band parents, students and supporters, it’s the end of May and that means the 4th of July holiday is not far away. That also means its time for us our big TNT Fireworks Fundraiser to support the band activities throughout the upcoming 2014-15 Wolf Band season. Please go onto the Volunteer Spot Web Site and start signing up for the 4 hour volunteer slots that have been assigned to the Wolf Band. The first time slot to volunteer is coming up soon to help unload the truck on Saturday May 31st!
Go to the Timberview Band Sign-up Link by Log-on to Volunteer Spot using this link to select your Timberview Band shift (s): http://vols.pt/cvqcHH Once you sign in with your e-mail address you will see the calendar with the our open time slots on May 31st; June 25th & 29th; and July 3rd & 4th dates. Click on the date you can help and select your time slot and the volunteer position you wish to work on that day.
This is our largest fund raising opportunity during the band year and we really need your help. We have been assigned 425 hours available for THS Band and we need to fill all the 4 hour slots and everyone must make sure they show up to work their assigned slot. The May 31st slot is a morning slot usually from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. just to unload the truck with the new fireworks supplies. All other volunteer dates are on June 25th & 29th, leading up to and including the 3rd & 4th of July. Look at the Timberview Band Website calendar for exact times and shifts on these dates.
If you are available to sign up for any of these available slots the band would really appreciate it. Don’t forget you can have any family member who is over 13 work and your child will get the credit for the hours.
Training again this year is mandatory! All training and the fireworks demo will take place on the TNT Supercenter property later in June TBD. Cashier positions are for Adults only and they must have previous experience or TNT training session.
If you have never been to the TNT Fireworks Supercenter it is located on FM 1187 on the far west side of Mansfield.
Head west on Debbie Lane which will become FM 1187 after you go past the MISD Bus facility and Donna Sheppard. Continue west a few miles and the TNT Supercenter will be on your right at 7501 Rendon Bloodworth Road, Mansfield, Texas, 76063.
